Police Athletic League

The Long Beach Police Athletic League was organized as a long-term crime prevention program aimed at juvenile crime, gang violence, and drug activity. Serving the youth of Long Beach since 1990 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, PAL has fostered a bond of mutual trust, respect, and understanding between police officers and youth through interaction with recreation, education, and athletic activities.

This may be the program for you!

A series of workshops and courses to assist and educate parents on issues pertaining to their children. These courses will be facilitated by doctors, certified parent educators, teachers & licensed marriage & family therapists.

*There is a $20 non-refundable materials fee
*Child care will be provided for children ages 7 - 17

FREE FAMILY COUNSELING

The Long Beach Police Youth Services Division (1957 Pacific Ave., Long Beach, CA 90806) is offering appointments with professional counselors.

Dr. Desiree Delagarza is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and parent educator who is also fluent in Spanish. She has worked with families for over ten years and has helped many families.

Julie Barbour is a Marriage and Family therapist and parent educator who has worked closely with teens and families.
